A grandmother from the city of Hastings in Southeast England is celebrating big time after scooping a huge jackpot at her local bingo club and is willing to fulfill all her postponed dreams with this money.
The 71-year-old woman came across a total prize of £339,000 – almost 450,000 euros – playing at the Bingo Deluxe club. This prize was given as part of the National Game Platinum Jackpot. The lady is married and she has been going to the Bingo with her husband for several years, they have a daughter, a son and 3 grandchildren.
After realizing that she was the winner, she declared: “I was trembling from my toes to my fingertips when the win was announced and my brain was going round and round”, she also said: "My husband's first words to me were, 'Can I get a new car?”, so they have already ordered a Vauxhall Meriva to tour the streets of Hastings.
The first dream that the winner will fulfill consists on making a trip with all her family to New Zealand to visit her son, who they haven’t seen for more than 4 years because they didn’t have the money to afford the tickets. She has also shared part of the prize with her family, to whom she gave £100,000.
